Dr Dries Potgieter is a director at Genesis and began his career as a Registered Nurse after completing his studies at RAU in 1997. However, he soon realised his passion for medicine and pursued his dream of becoming a doctor. He obtained his MBBCH degree from WITS in 2005. After completing his required public service years, he decided to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

He received his qualifications as a Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in 2013 and also holds a Certificate in Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgery. He furthered his studies and earned a Master’s Degree in The Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology. He recently qualified as a Reproductive Medicine Specialist in 2023.

Dr Potgieter practises at Mediclinic Kloof in Pretoria, where he focuses on female fertility, endometriosis, and endoscopic surgery.
